Shrimp - Taiwan Fire Red Shrimp

Taiwan Fire Red Shrimp

Taiwan Fire Red Shrimp, Neocaridina Heteropoda var Red, is top of the line solid red morph originating from Cherry Red Shrimp. They are a higher grade above Sakura Red and Cherry Reds. Females will get redder with each successive molt. Even males have a chance of getting really red coloration, but most will not. They are awesome and really stand out in a tank even across the room.

I obtained this particular strain from a breeder who imported directly from a great source in Taiwan. This strain breeds very true and needs little culling. Compared to Cherries, this strain of Fire Reds are much smaller and reach only about 75% the size of a Cherry.
